Eric Blazek ("we," "us," or "our") operates the My Snarky Phone mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the App. Please read this carefully. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

Information We Collect

My Snarky Phone is designed to collect as little data as possible. Here is everything we collect and where it goes:

• Your name (optional): Entered during onboarding for voice personalization. Stored only on your device via UserDefaults. Never transmitted anywhere.
• App preferences: Your chosen personality, spice level, voice selection, alarm sound, and clap sensitivity are stored locally on your device via UserDefaults. Never transmitted.
• Microphone audio: Processed entirely on-device in real time for clap detection only. Audio is never recorded, stored, or sent anywhere — not to us, not to any third party.
• Purchase status: Managed entirely by Apple's StoreKit. We never see, access, or store your payment information.

We do not collect your location, contacts, photos, or any other sensitive data. We do not use analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, or any third-party tracking tools.

How We Use Your Information

• To provide the App's core features (clap detection, voice responses, personalization)
• To remember your preferences between sessions
• To process your in-app purchase status via Apple

We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond operating the App.

Sharing Your Information

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties, with the following narrow exceptions:

• Apple: In-app purchases are processed by Apple. Their Privacy Policy governs that data.
• Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or to protect our legal rights — though given how little we collect, there is almost nothing to disclose.
• Business transfers: In the unlikely event of a merger or acquisition, user data (minimal as it is) may transfer as part of that transaction.

Data Security and Retention

All data is stored locally on your device. We apply no server-side storage because there are no servers involved. Data persists on your device until you delete the App or reset your preferences within it. We use reasonable measures to protect the App itself, but no method of storage is 100% secure.

Your Rights

Because all data is stored locally on your device, you have full control over it at all times:

• Access and deletion: Delete the App to remove all locally stored data. You can also reset your name and preferences within the App's Settings.
• Microphone: Revoke microphone access at any time in iPhone Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone.
• Purchases: Manage or request refunds through Apple's App Store.

California residents (CCPA): You have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request deletion, and to opt out of sale. We do not sell personal information. Contact us with any requests.

EU/EEA residents (GDPR): You have rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict, and port your data, and to object to processing. Given that all data is local to your device, most of these rights are exercised simply by managing your device. Contact us if you need assistance.

Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us information, please contact us and we will address it promptly.

Third-Party Services

• Apple StoreKit: Handles in-app purchases. See Apple's Privacy Policy.
• Apple App Intents / Siri: Used for Hey Siri phrases. Apple's privacy practices apply to Siri interactions. We do not receive any data from these interactions.

We do not use Firebase, analytics platforms, advertising networks, or AI APIs.

International Users

The App stores all data locally on your device — there is no server or cloud storage involved. If you access the App from outside the United States, your data remains on your device and is not transferred internationally by us.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will update the date at the top of this page when we do. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
